~Creating stories that linger long after the final page~

Writing has always been my way of exploring the world. As a child, I discovered that words were a powerful tool for self-expression and creativity. I was fortunate to be guided by teachers who recognized that spark and encouraged me to pursue the craft, teaching me early on how a single story can change a person's day-or even their life. Today, that same passion drives me to create for a new generation, turning the "what ifs" of my imagination into stories for children to enjoy.

I find my greatest inspiration in the moments that ignite a child’s curiosity. Whether it’s the excitement of a new adventure or the quiet realization of a hard-won lesson, I strive to write stories that evoke genuine emotion. I believe the heart of a great book lies in characters who are relatable and worlds that feel both wondrous and reachable. By blending imaginative world-building with themes of courage and discovery, I hope to mirror the magic children see in the world around them.

For over a decade, I have been immersed in the world of education. My time in the classroom has been an invaluable part of my journey, giving me a front-row seat to how children interact with language and what truly resonates with them. This experience informs every page I write, ensuring my stories are not only engaging but also supportive of young readers' emotional and cognitive growth.

My ultimate goal is to build a lasting connection with my readers. I want to provide a sense of wonder and a fresh perspective that stays with a child long after the book is closed. When I am not at my desk or in the classroom, I am usually finding inspiration in my own adventures, traveling, spending time with my family, and enjoying the lively company of our Chiweenie, Pepper.

Originally from Maraval, Port of Spain, Trinidad, I moved to the U.S. as a toddler and have proudly called Texas my home. Every story I share is a piece of that journey, and I am so grateful to share it with you.
